ABOUT US
Ocker Downs Crafts is a home-based business which began in April 2003 with the help and encouragement from a supportive group of family and friends. Cheryl Ockers and friends design and create gorgeous handpainted Butterfly & Dragonfly Suncatchers and Magnets. Our beautiful Butterflies have spread their wings and flown off to places such as New Zealand, Scotland and Italy as well as all around Australia. Ocker Downs Crafts also hosts Paint & Create Weekend Painting Retreats for enthusiastic crafters and painters.

SHOWS
We can often be seen at the Sydney Stitches & Craft Show (August) at Rosehill Racecourse as well as the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Don't be shy - come and say hello! Our eye-catching display of beautiful butterflies on the umbrella brings lots of people to the stand. There are lots of other designs and brilliant colours to choose from.

Here we are at Sydney Royal Easter Show 2006.
We spent 8 hectic days on the Matisse stand next to the Information Desk in the Arts & Crafts Pavillion throughout the second week of the show.

PAINTED SUNCATCHERS & MAGNETS -
There are a wide range of hand-painted designs available including Butterfly and Dragonfly, Seahorse and Dolphin, Bumblebee and Fish. All Suncatchers and Magnets are painted with glass paints which gives them that wonderful transparent finish - just like real glass. Each individual Suncatcher includes painted design and coloured beads suspended on beading wire with lead crystal at the bottom. NOTE: The Acrylic Mini Butterfly DOES NOT have a crystal. Many of the Suncatchers and Magnets also include woggley eyes.

Ocker Downs Crafts uses glass (Glasslites) and glitter (Firelites) paints by Tall Poppy (shown) as well as a range of KindyGlitz and Dimensional colours by Matisse Derivan for all our handpainted Suncatchers and Magnets. We also have a small range of other painting products which can be purchased directly from Ocker Downs Crafts such as fine line tips, plastic sheets, crystals, tiger tail (beading wire) and crimps.
